Another look at the dining room paint color (I know, I keep teasing you with peeks of the dining room color…hang in there, I’ll share soon!) – this piece of wood was from an old bench we had…that broke at Raye’s birthday party last year. It was an old pine bench, attached with staples! I kid you not – we paid good money for that “Mexican” bench! I guess it couldn’t hold thirteen year old girls! We built a new one (notice the red?) for this years party! Ha
I found the hook at IKEA – they no longer just sell the hooks. Well, not exactly. They do sell the hooks with a piece of wood (that you can attach them to). I threw the piece of wood away and just kept the hooks. So, now I have four extra hooks.
Here’s what I’m thinking – I didn’t want the hook, just on the wall. I wanted layers. An old piece of wood, a hook, and a starfish. TaDa! Ha
A painted starfish – a red starfish! To pull the red from the print.
This bathroom is tiny – no window – which makes it very hard to photograph!
This is where – it wasn’t my original idea. I got the rope holding the mirror idea from another blog. I know, what a great idea! Loved it so much, I was inspired, too! See the starfish in the wooden frame? That was another inspired idea.
I just want to be clear – the rope does not hold the mirror. It’s just for looks. It’s faux, y’all! The rope isn’t faux, but the visual of the rope holding the mirror up is – faux. The mirror will not fall and shank your friends! It’s attached with hooks.
I have plans to replace the light fixture…or just the globes. I dunno yet…

I love it!!!
Thank you!!
So glad you liked my mirror! I really like yours as well. Great idea with the starfish and hook.
Thank you!
[...] bath. And then I added the rope/mirror – that just made the whole area too busy! Ugh… Here, lets go back to that post. But be warned – it’s not pretty. The half bath is tiny and windowless – [...]
