I bought this print (It’s in the frame…sorry for the blurry glare) a long time ago – had it framed a year ago. I didn’t like how loud the contrast was… So – I made a change, with paint….nothing is safe in this house! Ha
I love this print – for many reasons. We lived in Orlando for years. Our boys were born there, too. So…if you look close at each bucket, you’ll notice that each bucket represents each theme park at Disney World. I said, each – three times. Four now.
Here’s a sneak peek at the original dark frame – it had very minor distressing. See it? Yeah, me either, but I did pay for that minor distressing. I need my eyes checked – I know.
After a bit of dry brushing – I like it so much better! You do too, don’t ya? If you’re a facebook friend and if you’re keeping up, yes, that is the paint on the dining room walls…that I haven’t shared with y’all yet.
Red… Um yeah, not so much. Yes, I wanted contrast when I got the print framed. I didn’t think it would be that bad. Live and Learn! And that’s what paint is for! Ha
Oh look how pretty the dining room paint looks on the mat! It took two coats of paint to completely hide that loud red! Buh – bye loud red – no hard feelings! Because, red is used through out my house as a accent color. No hate!
and the final product – this sweet picture hangs in our tiny downstairs half bath.
I had the print framed at Michaels – they did everything I asked for. It’s not their fault I didn’t love the finished product. They did an amazing job with the mat and frame.

Ooooh, I love it!! (and yeah, I couldn’t tell the “distressed” part either in the original frame! That was some DAMN minor distressing!! lol)
Thank you!! The rooms are starting to come together! I worked on a few other projects today… Completed a project for the pantry. I got the big mirror glued down to the plywood – and started another canvas project to hang above our foyer salt water tank! Ohh I painted two canvas projects for the dining room!! Lots going on!! Gotta get things done for the party!
