I’m in the process of sharing a few changes I’ve made for the front porch re-vamp! Our porch has looked the same forever – it looks like my neighbors and my neighbor’s neighbor. B O R I N G!! All the same – I guess everyone is scared of our HOA. Ya see, we can’t even support our kids with yard signs for the sports! ANYWAY – I wanted to extend my house onto our front porch. And I did last Halloween – I got a lot of compliments! I plan to add Thanksgiving and Christmas this year – I just ran out of time last year.
You’ll notice in the Halloween link, I mod podged a photo of Michael Myers to a canvas and hung it for the “haunted living room!”.
Well today – I used a blank canvas (my before – LOL!), acrylic paints, several brushes, and water.
I want you to feel welcomed when you ring our bell – haha!! Not that bell!
It may not be perfect – and that’s ok. I’m not a professional artist even though I tell you I am. I blended my colors and added a few simple birds. And then I hot glued my master piece to the bricks on the front porch. I hope to show y’all the full view soon. I’m over excited and couldn’t wait to share.
Since its hanging – hot glued to the bricks outside. I feel the need to seal it with a Clear Acrylic Sealer – I like a matte finish.
